ABOUT SAM NEARY

Sam Neary started racing at the age of 15 and in 2017 took part in his first competitive race in the Ginetta Junior Winter Series. At 16 he started racing for Team Abba Racing in the BMW M3 and in less than 12 weeks earned his International C racing licence.

In October 2018 Sam took part in his first endurance race - the Creventic 12hr race at Spa with Team Abba racing finished third in class. 

In 2019 Sam is believed to have became the youngest ever pole sitter and winner in a GT3 car, taking his first victory in the Britcar Dunlop Endurance Championship race at Snetterton in Team Abba Racing AMG GT3 Mercedes. In the same year he also became the iZone Motorsport UK AASE Young Driver of the Year.

In 2020 he partnered Richard Neary for the first time in the Intelligent Money British GT Championship, achieving the pairings first podium finish in the series.

In 2021 Sam was invited to join the British Racing Drivers' Club as a Rising Stars. Sam and Richard won their first British GT race in July 2021 at Donington Park and two further podium finishes.

Last season Sam raced in the Creventic Dubai 24hr, British GT and taught ice driving in Sweden. 

In 2023 Sam will race for Austrian team Grasser Racing in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Endurance Cup. Sam will also partner father Richard Neary once again in the Intelligent Money British GT Championship. 

Sam was also invited this year to join Motorsport UK's Team UK programme.
